I just downloaded the demo and I have to tell you that it gave me the shivers a few times only 5 mins into the game . Creepy for sure .
My daughter brought this game to my attention last night . Her and her friend where just screaming watching the gameplay on line . Has anyone played it or heard of it ?

I just got through the demo so I think I will be getting the full game . Very creepy and wonderful sound effect's . Interesting how your character seems to fade in and out of amnesia or perhaps a head injury . I stared at one of the demon's to long and passed out .

I love this game! Its AWESOME!!!!!
Its EXCITING! After about 30 minutes immersed in this dark game, you actually start feeling fright/startled/pursued. It feels like if they "get you", something might REALLY happen! The sound effects and background ambient sounds are AWESOME!!!! Especially with headphones.

Coolio, I'll have to check the system requirements to my spec & see if I can play it.
The game is EXTREMELY addicting.
You need to play this game with headphones, and in a darkened room You get immersed in the game and its like being on an acid trip. I swear, the makers of this game have actually captured the experience of an acid trip in this game. Pulsing walls, weird sounds, "corner of the eye" visions...its AWESOME!

This game is the scariest game I have ever played. Scary in the execution of the game and the story.
I am fascinated by this game. Its so weird, so scary, so trippy...the sound effects, the visuals....I thought the original Quake was creepy, but to me it wasnt scary, just creepy. THIS game, is scary...even for an adult. Im addicted to it! Im at the level where you can get into the elevator, but Im afraid to go down there yet. I need the drill parts first anyways.
You can use FRAPS to record games like in the opening video, and it will record the video and the sound as well. It works with all sorts of games. Ill upload a video of the Cellar Archives (the scariest part to me so far). You are in a half flooded cellar library with about 2 feet of water. You need to wade in the water to get to the end of the hallway, but there is "something" in the water. It wants to get you, and you can toss stuff into the water to distract it and them quickly run to crates and stand on top of them. But the "thing" is back, and you hear it splashing behind you as you run from it. SCARY AS HELL. I will edit this post with a FRAPS clip in about 15 minutes. I feel like recording that part I just described.

Absolutlely . I have just got down the elavator and gone a level or 2 further and it only get's worse with more visit's and chase scene's from you know who . I,ve had to stop playing again as I don't have the nerves to continue . Maybe if I start drinking again I can get up enough nerve to keep going . My daughter just informed me it will get much worse . Poop !!!
Hopefully more members will give this game a shot as I would like to see how far someone get's along into the game before getting freaked out .

LOL . I've been eaten at least twice before I figured out how to get past that part .
My brothers son is amazing to watch when he plays this game . He is so smooth with his movement's and he seems to find more object's than me . He is also in college right now taking Computer Gaming so that kind of explains his skills with playing a game like this . He almost always wins at the local LAN party's and also in online gaming .
I just get into a panic and run madly in all directions screaming while my wife laughs at me from the kitchen .

The game is now available in retail for those like myself that hate digital distribution and prefer owning hardcopies or have way too shitty internet connection to download the game. I already had it on Steam but I picked up a copy on DVD at Walmart when the retail version came out last week.

I was NOT prepared for the experience this game gives. :icon_eek:. I expected dark and weird sounds, but this game uses much much more than that. They have captured the essence of FEAR, without having anything shooting at you, in fact there are no weapons at all except your wits. From the cool puzzle solving to that "thing" pursuing you...
I actually have jumped out of my chair and also screamed outloud How does this game have no weapons and yet scared the living $@#! out of me when I play it? FUN AS HELL!

Yeah. I have it on Steam and beat it. It made my top 5 horror video games I listed in a previous topic. I enjoyed it enough to go about and buy the game again a second time to have a copy on display on my shelf.
If you enjoyed Amnesia, I would recommend Frictional Games earlier games: The Penumbra Collection. The games play very similar to Amnesia but the game is alot less scary imo but still worth the time to play.

I finally got enough nerve and finished the game . Screamed numerous times but I persevered and got to the end . What an awesome game it is . I am going to do it all over again just to see if I can finish the game with out being scratched to death by the ghouls lol !!!
