A Green arrow / Black Canary spin off of from Smallville would be great, gives you all the options of JLA stories, independant stories and so on. Justin Hartley is "man" enough for the girls to whump (well, according to my wife anyway) and Alaina is definitely "eye candy" enough (for me at least). So you would have the "pretty factor" covered. A few good stories and arcs I could see that working quite well.

Yeah I love it. I'm almost sort of waiting for our ratings parties to start up again. Who's going to watch a dead cancelled show that has all the appeal of a newspaper out of the bottom of the bird cage? It will be funny to see the spin they try to put on that one.

If my googling hasn't failed me she is going to appear in the next Smallville episode in Feb 4th. I hope they resolve her storyline well.
Back to Alaina, I saw her in a guest starring role in NCIS's 5th season the other day. She was pretty good. I think that of the SGU cast she will be just fine. Don't know about a Smallville Justice League spin off but it could work for her. As long as she stays away from anything Stargate. I'm pretty sure that if Stargate comes back none of the SGU actors will be making an appearance.

I actually like her (as far as the impression I got which is little but still) and also her character was the least annoying in SGU. Probably the only character I didn't dislike in the show. I hope she finds a great new acting job. In fact I wish success for all the actors of SGU, and they probably will succeed, once SGU is out of their way

TJ was by far the best character in SGU Season 1.0 IMO. She's the most competant, least whiny... She's the only character i liked when i watched the pilot because even though she was obviously terrified, she kept her cool. She was the most SG1 like of the entire cast IMO.

On the subject of Smallville, it's not exactly canon to start with so Black Canary/Green Arrow doesn't necessarily have to happen.

It's a shame that they wrote the baby arc into TJ's story. If they hadn't she could have developed into a stronger character and wouldn't have to be reliant on the men surrounding her.
Or if they had her keep the baby they had a great opportunity to make her a character of optimism. Someone who actively tries to make the ship a nicer, more colourful place because she has an investment in doing so.

The baby arc was going to happen regardless, it just so happened that AH fell pregnant and they swapped the storyline to her (a bad call imo), TJ was the strongest of the female characters and having the storyline put on her damaged that as well.
What is it with SG dying one season after a pregnancy? I call the mummies curse on Stargate

Eh, I liked her before the whole pregnancy stuff. They didn't focus on her background and turn it into some whinefest like they did with every other character. And she was actually doing something useful on the ship even though she should have been getting training via the communication stones while a real doctor was on standby in her body on the Destiny. I just blame the writing overall, not well thought out or logical. They didn't butcher her character like most of the other ones, just some with the baby thing.
