Why celebrities? Why not some HS school kids or College freshmen who are doing kickass in STEM classes instead?
You know.. motivate them to continue with their education so we can have AMERICANS working in STEM instead of more and more immigrants with H1B visas who get paid less and then pay less into our economy?

Because it's owned by Jeff Bezos who is a common man who made it big later in life and does not know what "being rich" really means. He still thinks it's celebrities, yachts, and heavily plastic-surgeried bimbos. To him, having an all-female crew with celebrities is a prestigious flex.

sure.. doesn't answer my question though
if we want more American young ppl engaged in America's tech future (and I don't mean being a YT content creator ) then people like Bezos should step up and get them involved and motivated
it is a national disaster that we have so many foreign tech ppl here on H1B visas making far less money than an american would.
and those americans who do have college degrees, even tech degrees, cannot get employment. so they ask for things like student loan forgiveness and get eviscerated for it. we are close to the point of being irredeemable
people like Bezos and others COULD help change this, but they choose not to
I also oppose H1B visas ESPECIALLY when used to get cheaper help. Change H1B so that if you hire one you have to pay them at least the median salary for that job in the USA. That removes the economic motivation to hire H1B. I'd even take it another step and 1) Bar companies like Tata Consultancies from being hired by US companies and 2) Require offshore employees to be paid on par with US employees. But that is just me.

The whole reason why they offshore jobs is so the company can maximise profits while you paying peanuts. Why do you think Banks have such massive delays when it comes to interest rates when the Reserve Bank changes the official cash rate?

Elon Musk is the guy for that, not Jeff Bezos. Jeff is a dedicated money chaser. He has been one from the very beginning, and has no tech knowledge, no tech or academically based skills that he used or is using to grow Amazon and it's companies and his personal fortune. Elon is an engineer, a visionary and his work is out here in reality for others to see and be inspired by. He has discussed backing a new tech university. However, I do agree with you about the H1B visa tech workers. We need to increase interest in STEM fields by exposing more of it to younger children. Not the end-user parts like using apps and programs, but looking at how the apps are made and how the programs work. This past 4 years created one generation with one-year less of school because of a pandemic. Agendas in schools have been focused on gender and identity and race. Education needs to teach again, not indoctrinate.

yeah, but Musk has lost his way.. he is too easily distracted (due to his personality type I KNOW he likes to pursue the rabbit down into that rabbit hole (i have the same MBTI type)) and has gotten into things not his specialty
to respect our rules here I won't mention all of that- I wish he would leave it all and focus on what he is good at; being the idea man behind his science/tech projects
his current distractions have the high probability of damaging his reputation and his businesses and thus, mankind's efforts in space
this can be seen in micro now starting with all the push back against tesla vehicles and tesla charging stations- several of them being burned already

Fuck you Google - they are deliberately making it easier for malware and scammer to be easily be downloaded on your computer by forcing people to view ads which has no relations with content that the user is watching. They've blocked Adblocker and Adblocker plus and with ublock origin unless if you get the link from github or have one downloaded they deliberately disable it from your chrome browser without the user's consent. They've made ublock origin unavailable from chrome store or not compatible anymore. Surely this is a breach of privacy laws?
EDIT: I have complaint about it to the privacy commission here in Australia. No doubt they will take google's side.
