the SECTION 31 movie with Michelle Yeoh is a massive bunch of nonsense, I don't even know how ( and I know that been said so much about nuTrek) they can call this TREK

I FF'd through so much, I was curious to see if the ending gave some bit to how they were going to 'undo' the existence of ST Discovery -- no dice

if anything, they set it up for another Yeoh movie

and its sad watching Yeoh trying to navigate the set in the get ups she is in at her age. I saw many scenes where when she is walking, they close up on her face as to not show how badly she is walking in the high heeled boots- either from age or the boots. so much other stupidity as well

Ellison was spouting blue sky dream cases. Stargate has nothing to do with vaccines - it is backbone and datacenters for Advanced AI.

This thing is complete trash and belongs on a "worst movies ever made" list. I'm not even getting into its "Trekness" - it is utter garbage as a movie regardless.

they linked it to medical research twice

once at the beginning touted how it would help Drs communicate/ share records and treatment plans

and here at mark 10:58 he specifically says:

I'm sure this guy may WANT to work on cancer research/treatment, or maybe he's just spinning that, but the main purpose is to be at the forefront of AI, whatever that might mean. I doubt that cancer research will be the number one priority, if even in the top five. Weaponization of the AI and defense will undoubtedly be the number one priority, and not just against foreign enemies.

Rewatching Hercules and Xena so much better than Games of Thrones, Rings of Power, and House of Dragon. Despite the graphics not being the best.

So cheesy but so good. They don't have in your face music and horrible ADR which either the dialogue is too loud or the action sequence or the soundtrack is not loud at all. I miss the way tv shows were filmed in the 90's and 2000's it reminds me of some of the Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis episodes.

A major difference is the way the audio was set up bosses the voices and slightly mutes things like action sounds and music.

I read the other day that Amazon is working on a series based on the new book from the writers that wrote The Expanse and it is some kind of follow-up.
