Christmas eve actually. It's into day 3 they've deployed both sunshields now begins the hardest part expanding the sunshield. They launch it on Christmas day???
Elon is giving us the future I imagined as a kid. Landable rockets! Humanoid robots, futuristic vehicles, etc. The Starship is a massive vehicle. Peopl don;t seem to understand just how big it is inside. It's larger inside than all of the individual ISS modules! Each one can hold over 60 people plus cargo (one variant can hold 100). Once the Starship has completed it's flight trials, it can almost immediately set it's sights at a manned Mars mission and skip the lame NASA timelines. I kinda wish NASA would be dissolved.SpaceX is WAY ahead of everyone else. This Starship launch test went flawlessly - they even caught the booster. Next one will feature Starship safe landing on one of their barges.
NASA does great work but they are too slow and they don't have craziness or risk taking abilities that Elon has where he can waste all of the money he wants. The sad thing is that he has lost contact with his first child who turned transgender. NASA budget keeps on reducing year by year compare that to Spacex and Tesla where he is getting a lot of funding and the people at NASA they are hardwired to do things the old way.Elon is giving us the future I imagined as a kid. Space X engines don't do entry burns which is astonishing to hear.SpaceX is WAY ahead of everyone else. This Starship launch test went flawlessly - they even caught the booster. Next one will feature Starship safe landing on one of their barges.
because THAT is another danger from the use of AI/CGI in everyday life beyond entertainment
This is incredible but why do the launches and and now catching look like CGI? I am not doubting that it's not real but it looks odd.

Well, I hope AI gets a boot and is overrated like Y2k bug. I remember I had to fight against my previous employer and I took them to Australian Human Rights Commission.because THAT is another danger from the use of AI/CGI in everyday life beyond entertainment
we are normalizing that anything fantastic MIGHT BE generated by AI and our engaging our natural and normal human doubting mechanism in questioning things
its only going to get worse for us. BUT, I think very young people now, and those yet to be born, both who will grow up with AI will develop a far better way to adapt to and ID what's real and whats computer generated
every step forward in tech use has resulted in something like this- think of how much better the young are at EVERY new piece of tech that comes along than older ppl are. They lack the bias and experiences we do. I have vivid memories of "teaching" my older relatives how to use a remote TV control and to use the push button phone
You sir have a sixth sense. Neil Tyson gave his thought on that topic.SpaceX is WAY ahead of everyone else.
with that vertical landing?Next Starship launch will feature both the booster and Starship being recovered.
what level of chemical sedation would you think the first volunteers are going to need to get on it?I would assume once they have successfully vertical landed manned flights will come shortly.
