I dont believe in UFOS (being extraterrestrial), so I voted Government Craft. At the Yuma AFB in 1983, I watched an entire squadron of F117s (stealth fighters) flying over the desert at the base in a TS air show. They were not even supposed to exist, and not until Desert Storm did people even know we had them. The Predator armed drone aircraft has been in existence for more than 10 years, but only recently did they see deployment. Just my thoughts!

I wish! People who believe in UFO's dont think in terms of the behaviors of these "extraterrestrial" craft they think they are seeing. If we were to send a probe to a planet and then find life, would we make it hide from its inhabitants, sense single individuals on the ground and then accelerate our probe into orbit upon detecting them? What would be the purpose of flying in random flight patterns (including 90° turns), and why choose an uninhabited area to explore?

So like I was saying in the funny stuff online thread , I will try to give more detail here . Just get the dam bright lights out of my eyes lol ... I give this info freely whether you think I am crazy or not .
The shape was like nothing I saw before with multiple lights. I was also indoors at the time looking out the windows of the Frontenac Hotel in Quebec City. My wife and I had just arrived at the Hotels bar for an evening nightcap . We had come in from out side which was very heavy wind and rain . Very few people were on the streets .
The bar at the Frontenac overlooks the St Lawrence River and we were sitting around 10 to 15 ft away from the windows . We ordered drinks and as I got my drink I was enjoying the night view of the river . You could see lights of buildings on the other side of the river and also the ferries were crossing back and forth. Then what seemed to come out of no where were these strange shaped lights at eye level from where I was sitting at the bar . Not blinnking or flashing like an aircraft but just a steady almost sharpe image . Initially I put it down as a reflection of lights mirroring in the windows but it kept moving eastwards from wimdow frame to window frame . Also keep in mind that the Frontenac Hotel is perached high up on a hill so my view of this object was 200 to 500 feet of the water if in fact what I was seeing was outside over the river and not just reflections in the glass . I watched it as it slowly moved along until I could not see it anymore unless I had gotten up from the bar to get a better look out of the windows , and the opportunity was there but at the time I shrugged it off as reflections in the glass and forgot about the whole sighting until I saw the next days morning papers .
Yikes I thought . I really did see it because so many others had too . Weird lights , strange shape , moving slowly .
It was not a coast gaurd chopper or definitely not a hot air balloon, not in those winds . Drone someone had mentioned . Well if it were a drone it was pretty dam large and very strangley shaped . And who would want to fly a drone on a cold windy rainy night ?
I am going to scour the internet and try find the newspaper article about it ...

I found a video of the shape of the thing I saw and as usual it is far away and blurry but it will give you an idea of what I saw . Also I do not remember that the lights were blinking but you will be able to make out the strange shape slightly and come to your own conclusion . The vid to me looks like someone flying a hot air balloon with lights all over it . But this is in calm weather from what I can tell in the video . When I saw this thing the weather was not calm at all . But who knows . I am sure one day it will be explained and we can all laugh about it . Its a pretty cool shape tho and not what you usually think of seeing as a standard ufo sighting .

I see in that video that the object is quite low in the trees or something . This could be lights from a construction crew working off in the distance or a road accident in my opinion. But seeing lights like that and the strange shape over water at night is another story altogether .
