After months of waiting, the Torchwood drought is almost over! The revamped series (aka Miracle Day) will finally start airing in July, and it won't be alone. Get ready for a Torchwood web series called Web of Lies, which may or may not star a beautiful badass.
Writer and producer Jane Espenson has been using her Twitter account for evil by teasing fans about Web of Lies. All of her statuses have been hints about the possible casting of Eliza Dushku in the new show.
She recently wrote, "We have faith in Torchwood: Web of Lies."
Followed by, "It's tru; there's an echo of my past work in #Torchwood: Web of Lies."
Really Jane? That's about as subtle as Thor's hammer!
Faith, Echo, and Tru are the names of characters that Dushku played in the past on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, and Tru Calling. And is it a coincidence that Epenson helped write and produce all three of those shows? We think not!
Torchwood: Web of Lies is supposed to be a companion series to Torchwood: Miracle Day, which means its debut can't be that far off. We're excited about both shows! And if you haven't already seen the explosive trailer for Miracle Day, you should definitely check it out.
OMG YES! a spin-off to torchwood!
