Q: How would you play an evil version of the Doctor? What sort of hat would an evil Doctor wear?
A: An evil version of the Doctor, that's a very good question. Well, hopefully, I may have got to play an evil version of the Doctor — for a bit, briefly — in season six somewhere. And what sort of hat would an evil version wear? Probably a trilby and a dark cape or a cloak or something. And how would I play him? I don't know. I'd play him like a mixture between MacBeth, Einstein and Hannibal Lecter. With a bit of Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther in there somewhere.
(Editorial note: Which evil version of the Doctor do you think he's referring to? I can think of two possibilities in the episodes we've already seen, but maybe he's talking about something in the remaining six episodes of the season?)

I know he's not too popular, think they should bring back the Valyard, (or rather, since he has no real name, formally known as), as the prime villian, who's been behind everything since the Time War, they could use the same actor as before, but improve on the character and make him uber powerful and a real apocalypic threat, someone who works behind the shadows, dessed in black and silver Time-Lord robes, wearing an Omega like mask, I've long felt the Valyard is a much underated villian who needs a second stab (so to speak), not only is he the Doctor (technically) he's also from the Doctor's future, can you imagine the companion's faces, when the Doctor says, when the masked villian is unmasked, "He's me..." just before he blows up planet Earth (or so it seems...) prehaps the treat of an evil version of the Doctor would be enought to warrent the Doctor and co. to team up with the Daleks and Davros, and maybe even the Master (the Cybermen and Sontarans might want a stake in this as well)

^^that'd be cool, a mastermind in the background pulling strings, would add a layer of mystery and just good storytelling.

Sweet though on the evil doctor thing, that'll be interesting. Have they ever done uh yin and yang versions of the doctor?

Easy, both the Valeyard and the Dream Lord, which are both manifestations of all the Darkness and evil within the Doctor himself, then there's Master, the Doctor's arch nememsis and kind of a Moriarty figure to the Doctor (I have a hunch the Valeyard is returning, I've picked up on several hints such as the "Time-Lord victorious" moment, the appearance of the Dream Lord, who seems to be an aspect of the same villian and in the most recent episode, what was the thing the Doctor most feared behind his door? the Doctor said "It had to be You" but we don't see who... but if your famillar enought with the show, partivularly the classic version it's kind of obvious :)
