Okay, the full HD copy of The Interview made it into the dark alleys of the internet and I was able to "acquire" it. This movie is friggin HILARIOUS! I cant believe that Sony would let this sit on a shelf and not make money from it. It turns out that Sony did allow a limited release at 350 independent theaters:

I have acquired trhe movie in HD and I have to say it is friggin HILARIOUS! It starts out with a hilarious opening in North Korea, and the rest of it is a hodgepodge of different funny threads. The movie is about two reporters who are chasing the ultimate stories around the world and around the US for the network show they both run called Skylark. This show is supposedly the most popular shock interview show on TV and amongst their first interviews is Eminem who gives us a REAL shocker! Then they find out that North Korea's leader is a fan of the show and they arrange to get an interview with him.
I cant say much more, but this movie is a COMEDY, not a documentary and not a drama. It is full of lighthearted fun on the level of an Austin Powers movie, only with Franco and Ferrell playing off each other's adolescent humor. It isnt horrible with them both in this, which is surprising.
If you can manage to see this somehow, please do. You will laugh your butt off!
