The Day of The Triffids

I can not say enough as to how much I am enjoying this story . The 1961 Movies and the 1982 tv mini series which I am now in the process of watching and will soon be watching the 2010 version . I am partially deaf but to loose your sight must be overwhelming to the average joe whom has had there sight all there lives . Do watch it if you have not and also remember that is is a b movie but a great movie and I try to watch as many b movies as I can .

I didn't think all that much of the 2010 version to be honest. From what I remember the cast put me off the whole production but it would be cool to hear how you think it stacks up to the rest.

Triffids

The series was brilliant, I remember watching that when it came out. Enjoy the rest of it.

Are there anymore or was it just a 6 part series . So far they seem to have finished it off very well so the story can end there without any strings hanging loose other than the destruction of the Triffids which they did do in the movie . I absolutely love British Si-Fi .

Another one of my faves is The Day the Earth Caught Fire . Absolutley Brilliant . Hope you also have the same view for this movie . Janet Munro is and was one sweet looking lady .

Well I managed to watch all three version's of The Day Of The Triffids and I am still thinking that the original movie is still the best of the three . The 1982 tv version went on a different route from the movie as did the 2010 version .

If I were to give them point's on a scale of 1 to 5 this is how my personal ratings would play out .


The Day Of The Triffids - 1961 - 5
The Day Of The Triffids - 1982 - 4
The Day Of The Triffids - 2010 - 3
Though the special effect's were much better in the 2010 version it had the usual bad guy's and good guy's that you seem to see in every movie that has been produced over the last few years . Predictable but mostly entertaining just the same . 2010 followed along the same story line as the 1982 version which almost has no special effect's but kept your attention because of the characters involved .
The original will always be at the top of the list for me due to watching it in my younger years and enjoying it immensely. Now being of fifty years old and a bit I have begun my second childhood though I never ever really grew up .
