In S7 of Clone Wars we are intro'd to a new small unit of Clone trooper 'mistakes'- attempts at highly engineering Clones with mixed results

A small unit of these salvaged form Clone Trooper Force 99 -the BAD BATCH

a new series-animated in the Clone Wars and Rebels style, with the Bad Batch plus Clone Trooper Echo- will come to DISNEY+ next year

we don't know if these clone mistakes were affected by order 66 or if they were even fitted with chips. Maybe they were and they disobeyed orders- true to their form?

Will they be on the side of the Empire or maybe with the Rebels?

Should prove to be an interesting show either way. One that has the promise of tidying up loose ends in the SW's canon and exploring the different areas of the galaxy only sometimes glimpsed till now

if you watched the last season of Clone WARS, you saw these team of rogue Fett clones operate as a special forces type unit. Each clone with his own "enhanced" abilities

Will go into early Empire days... Fennec Shand is in it.. And did I see Wilhuff Tarkin?

Wonder what will become of them? In CW's they were not shown either way, as to what they did in Order 66, i fact, they may not even of had the chip installed as they were seen as 'damaged'.

Will they join the Rebellion?

also, with the alterations Tarkin is having the Kaminoens do to CrossHair-seeing how his skills are already augmented, with Tarkin having mods for obedience and leadership added, will clones of Cross hair possibly become the Death Troopers? We have never seen one and never heard their voice unaltered, just skill and performance- worthy of clone engineering -- they are all tall, crosshair and other clones are said to be 6'4"

I think.. just a guess, that the show will be used as a vehicle to help tell all those other stories going on that have nothing to do with Skywalkers or the other standard tropes of SW's

we have already seen op war mantle- the beginning of the shift from the clone army to a volunteer human force

we may see an origin for Death Troopers- cloned from CrossHair

a very good chance we are going to see more of legends brought into canon with the Kaminoan revolt. in legends, the kaminoan, seeing they were to be cut out of the contract for clones, kept clones for themselves as a defense force. the empire later invaded and took over, wiping out the kaminoans. It was as tory line in FORCE UNLEASHED. this possibility being brought up in this show when the Kam ruler and scientist already referred to the new group of clones as "still our clones"--other people of said they think that we may also see a Starkiller/Galen Marek character brought into canon as well as he was a part of this event in force unleashed

may get a run in with Solo or Calrissian as the group will have to deal with the underworld to get things done

i think its a great show

Filoni is in charge of this. the Bad Batch is an extension of the Clone Wars,, a precursor (not a prequel) to REBELS. His work and leading role in both of those shows is why he is in charge of this show.

still so many ways they could go with this show? so many other things they could tie into-- characters from canon or 'import' more characters from legends

seems the Kamino rebellion is going to happen-- Imperial Clones vs Kaminoen Clones. One big character from legends that could be brought in there. someone who could be worked as either a imperial or kaminoen cloning project- starkiller. or some facsimile of him

if they did bring in him or someone like him, i'd guess it would be an imperial experiment, an early attempt at cloning with force abilities, as Starkiller was

I have a big problem with Omega. Why did they retcon a female "clone" into it? She is a female. You can't get a female cloned from a man. And why did they do it at all? I get it that there is an agenda to insert females into the clone army, but they could have set it up like they did with Finn and made her another individual destined to be a Stormtrooper, not related to any of the clones. Disney is pissing me off at just about every turn, from the jacked up prices and obtuse policies at their parks to the retconned characters of the MCU and junk like Cruella destroying established characters and rewriting backstories.

I have a big problem with Omega. Why did they retcon a female "clone" into it? She is a female. You can't get a female cloned from a man. And why did they do it at all? we as the viewer, do not know ALL of the clone variants the kaminoans were working on. we never got a visual roll call of the millions produced and since they continued to produced them, it would be impractical to do so

since you brought it up, i just did a quick search and found that it is possible to clone a female from a donor male.. the X chromosome is doubled. if this can be done with our tech, than with the level of knowledge and tech in star wars possessed by the Kaminoans, i am sure they can do it as well. apparently this as been done here and now with mice

the Y is extracted via 'gene surgery' and the X is doubled

It is wholly theoretical and everything I read also said that doing something like this (gene surgery to replace the Y with another X) runs a huge risk of bad mutations occurring. Assuming the Kaminoans have devised a way around these issues Omega is actually not a clone by definition since she is not an exact copy of the original. She is more like a genetically engineered organism.

As to the show, it's okay. I would not rate it as good as Mando or Rebels but it is better than any of the sequel trilogy or prequels. I would rate it right beneath Clone Wars.

i dont really care about whether or not it can be done.. article i read says it HAS been done with mice a few yrs ago... NOT getting into these pointless discussions. Why am I the one always reminding people that SW's is NOT sci fi but fantasy so nearly anything is possible?

clone or 'genetically organized organism" so what? male or female? so what? a character you are 'comfortable with from the OT or a new one? who cares.. its their franchise their intellectual property, THEIR story to tell. its for us to watch it or not
