Well I knew it was not going to last long anyway. People say you can't tell by the first couple shows. Well, maybe so. But I can. I'm the same way with books, if it ain't good by the first 3 or 4 chapters, I don't see a reason for torturing my self with it.

I did give it more of a chance than I normally would have just because it carried the "Stargate" name. I watched it about 8 or 9 episodes, or was it 6 or 8, I can't remember really. It finally just got on my last nerve.

I will also admit it did have a almost good episode a time or two, possibly more since I stopped watching it, but meh. I don't think I missed anything special. The last one I watched they were actually in contact with some other life forms. And, looked like they might actually have a space battle. That was interesting, but I had already lost interest in the show, so, I just gave up on it before I got upset with it further.

However, if one of you all could tell me which episodes Dr. Mckay is going to be in, I'd love to know, just to watch him. Please, let me know if you know which ones he is in. Thanks.

Ep 15 mate, so 4 more weeks and you get Mckay and Woolsey

You probably gave up together with all those other viewers after the episode Earth or right after the "incredible" (in its true sense) Life.

I don't know about that. We certainly will get David Hewlett and Robert Picardo, but will it be Dr. McKay and Woolsey?? We've seen what they did to RDA and Michael Shanks on SGU, so we'll just have to see...

You need to meet stclare. She LOVES "Dr. Mckay". She can tell you everything you need to know about David Hewlett and his upcoming appearance on SGU. ;)

You know me well :)

If you can stomach watching ep 2.15, please let us know what you think in the episode reviews section. Me im not watching it. BW has already said Mckay had to "fit" sgu, which in my speak means they have changed him to make him fit. I couldnt bear to see him out-smarted by Eli or Rush, or have him be the butt of the joke and even worse not have that spark with technology that i know and love.

Life was the last episode to hit over 1.6 Million viewers live+SD, the show never recovered after that. SG-1 and SGA always recovered.

DH twittered by himself that he had to play McKay like in the first season of SGA. As much as I like to watch Hewlett on screen but the McKay-character was grown in five years Atlantis and I really have no need to watch another ... uhm retrogression.

Mckay grew over the years from SG-1 into SGA. He became less arrogant and you saw his more compassionate side. I truly hope they don't ruin his character in SGU. Heck, even Woosley grew in Season 5.

I know, McKay was sort of, well not really all that great in SG-1. His character got a lot better in SGA, at least for me it did.

And, Woosley, man I was really worried about that one, when they made him the leader of Atlantis. I was thinking I was not going to like him. But he wound up being pretty descent for it. I was sure his "Character" was going to mess it up, but they changed his character for that role. It all worked out good I think.

Here is a little quote I found browsing around earlier:

Mckay: "Doctor Fumbles McStupid over here was in way over his head!"
Zelenka: "Yes, yes, *I* made a mistake trying to save *your* life. Now, do you want to try to fix it, or do you want to continue to berate me somewhat?"
Mckay: "I'm perfectly capable of doing both at the same time."

Sheppard: "Any way to figure out what they're saying?"
Mckay: "Yes, of course, it says right here: 'Why is the smart one having to stop and answer so many questions?'"

Sheppard: "How's it coming, Rodney?"
Mckay: "Slower than I expected, but faster than humanly possible."

See, you just don't get stuff like that with SGU. You just don't. That is why I don't like SGU. Not enough of this type of stuff.

I guess the reason I like the character "Dr. Rodney McKay" is because, that character is sort of like I really am. That's pretty much my personality. Which is why I could relate to it so well I guess.

Let's hope DH had to play McKay the way he was back in SGA S1 because, McKay couldn't understand or believe how incompetent everybody on board Destiny are.

I liked:

McKAY: They couldn't have. Even if they somehow deduced the location of Earth, they still wouldn't be able to get there -- not unless they ... (he pauses, thinking) ... they downloaded something along with the hive ship plans. Something like spyware. Something like when I stupidly downloaded porn ... (he glances in the direction of Ronon's cocoon) ... music! When I downloaded music!

Which makes me start thinking of that completely stupid plotline in Independence Day where someone is somehow able to load a workable virus into an alien computer operating system...

But yes, I love the McKay quotes.

I just gave out another DVD on Syfy.com. Interesting they chose a SGA season 5 set over a SGU DVD set. They had some good taste. :P

I'm not entirely familiar with your DVD giveaways cos 1) I'm not a member on Syfy Forums yet and 2) I reside in the UK.

Are your DVD giveaways part of a competition? Or for fun? :)

Hey dude, I want to ask you a question about another show...V on ABC. I have speculated that the show might move to Syfy based on the fact that it is now showing the original V on most of the affiliates, and at least two are airing the NEW show. Then I found this thread on Syfy:

Where would one go to check and see how much it costs to produce a given show? Of all information available to crawl on the internet, I can not find any source for such figures. Is it published in a prospectus or available elsewhere? Any hints would be helpful :)

Like the pictures of Sheppard and McKay. If they had fit MCkay and Sheppard in conclusion of SGU and paired Sheppard with someone and McKay. I would have been happy.
