Sure, it's five years old by now, but one of the best sci fi parodies ever deserve its own appreciation thread, dammit! Besides, I don't know how many here have seen the movie, so it's always good to get the word out to newbies.

I simply love this movie. The hilarity of it making fun of the Bab 5 and Star Trek universe is just great, and in my opinion, Captains Pirk and Sherrypie are far superior to Kirk and Sheridan... and Picard too.

Also, you gotta admire the guys behind it for what they did. That just a couple of die hard finnish fans with a limited budget and a blue screen managed to accomplish all of this is fantastic. For you newbies to the Star Wreck, yes the movie is in Finnish but is available with subtitles. It doesn't really matter anyway, IMO.

I've never seen this movie but I've heard of it & have heard good things about it. I am off to bed now but I will ask - have you got access to any video clips/trailers of it?

If you do get it online, it has to have good subtitles. There's a few versions where the subs are so bad that a lot of the jokes don't translate.

I preferred the original (and still have it) as the 'new' ships just don't feel right :p

Best part, when the "Zack" parody tries to show Sherrypie the video of the MIA pilot getting shot down and instead it's some officer banging some chick on a bed and you hear him yell 'SCREAM MY RANK!!!". It's so utterly random and "WTF!?' i crack up just thinking about it.

Or Sherrypie's speeches... or Ivanovitza's virginity being offered to Pirk in exchange for mercy

Or by far the best line of hte entire movie. "FUUUUUUK-OOOOOVV!!!!!!"
