I had tons of those cards and really miss them. Wouldn't feel the same to go out and replace them though as it was the experience of collecting them as a kid that holds sentimental value to me.

I was never a big baseball fan, but in Jersey we all used to buy baseball cards just to put them in the spokes of our bikes. Stupid kids! I wonder how much money I was riding on?

Me either. I loved football, and my dad was the baseball fan. The first spectator game I ever went to was when my dad took me and my brother to Dodger Stadium on bat night.

I was never a fan of being a spectator of any sports. I only liked them if I was playing. Don't watch them on tv either.

Was that when they used to give out those miniature wooden baseball bats? It took them years to figure out that they were basically handing out hand-held weapons to a largely drunken crowd here.

Naw, back in the day they were full sized bats. . You also got a baseball cap. Those miniature bats didnt come till way later.

Oh wow, that's cool. I only remember the miniature bats because they were so insane to give to people. It was like: "Welcome to the stadium -- here's your complimentary club!"

I remember a couple years back here when they had ball night and the game got interrupted by all the balls being thrown onto the field. I swear, these promotion people the teams hire have no clue what the hell they're doing. I mean, if you want to hand out balls, fine, just don't do it while people are filing into the stadium because what's gonna happen is gonna happen.

Abrams could ruin him by doing one thing alone: changing the sounds he makes.

If Abrams uses R2D2 and he looks exactly the same, he will be utterly ruined if he does not sound like R2D2 should sound. Utterly.

Getting more and more of the feeling that these Disney films will serve to trivialize the first 3--even more so-greatly so, then eps 1-3 did. "A new film every year starting in 2015...like we are doing with the Marvel films":

After seeing those horrible prequels I've learned not to get my hopes up so I can only be disappointed to a certain point.

Im not getting my hopes up either, and in fact I have lowered expectations already because Abrams will be involved. The man is as shallow as a car wash puddle when it comes to intellect. He is great at shiny and explode-y, not so good at much else. Star Trek is ruined because of him and Orci (especially Orci). He will ruin Star Wars too. He will cobble together the best scenes he thinks he likes in all the other Star Wars movies, and throw them in like a bar scene with aliens dancing and singing. We will probably get some familiar (but changed) lines from the characters too. And I dont think he can have 3PO because Anakin built him.

I thought they were coming in on the prequel end? Im also hearing the term "reboot" attached to the film. Alternate timelines anyone?

I never understood the Boba Fett fetish.

He speaks little, and is just badass.
To see all the bounty hunters lined up in ESB and have "the badass" in Vader single him out and say "no disintergrations" and then have Boba track the falcon, and then ARGUE TERMS with Vader as an equal, not an underling is cool.
He may not "rage against the machine" but he sure as hell tells the machine in few words NOT to mess with him.
Basicaly, Boba has the balls that no other Imp has.
