Jean Luc Picard was absolutely the best captain!

Yes, I was one of those fans that shed a tear when the series ended. While I watched TOS growing up with my older brothers, TNG is what truly brought me into the franchise.

First Contact is hands down my favorite scifi movie. They'd wrapped up all the story lines from the series nicely IMO, including the Borg (the baddest enemy of them all), and the movie itself was kick-ass!

Cried..yep..same here..it couldve lasted another season...i also loved to death DS9, to me that was my favorite ST show..that could also have lasted another season...Voyager to me was Ok..nothings on tv thats as good as Startrek anymore..SG1 and SGA filled a gap..I have all SG1 and Sga dvds ...never bought any ST dvd series as they were way to costly back in the days..Enterprise was getting good...i loved the Xindi arc and stuff was starting to make sense..then they extended it a season just enough for sindication....then killed it off with a weird series finale....guess thats whats happening with the stargate series.. sigh...guess we will have a new theatre stargate movie in 6 years concerning a wormhole and the creation of a new timeline where everything will be changed...now that seems oddly familiar...

I must have a thing for bald, assertive men, because Captain Sisko is my second favorite captain and DS9 is number two on the list of Star Trek shows. I just loved the whole premise of a station where all different species lived and interacted, and I think they wove all of those intricate storylines together so well. All of the conflict, and it still remained an entertaining drama heavy show. It can be done, PTB.

For some reason, TNG dvd's are still expensive. Thank goodness for ebay and netflix. You're right about SGA and SGU filling the gap. It definitely did that for me with TNG. Every few years, there has come a show that's captured the spirit of truly entertaining scifi. I guess SGU has ushered in the era of that downtime until the next great thing comes along.

Season 1 of ST:TNG? Are you kidding??? That is probably the only instance in the Star Trek franchise I find unwatchable. (please note that I do watch S2 and absolutely love TNG starting S3)

lol agreed..TNG Season 1 was really, weak,and the acting was pretty bad too. However, as the season draw to a close there was a sudden improvement in everything from acting to the storyline.

Yesterday's enterprise is my favorite ep of TNG. I am a big fan of Christopher MacDonald- the only reason i watched the premiere of sgpoo! :P

not a fan of TNG at all- there are some episodes I like (more now than I had the first time around) but the first seasons was uniformly terrible! IMHO :P

How to fix it - a Youtube challenge

The biggest mistake was the Polanski doctor in season 2. And then there was Wesley. Aren't Wesley's a bitch? ;)

But I figured out how to fix the Wesley problem. Substitute J-Roc from Trailer Park Boys for Wesley. Everytime Wesley says something you should hearing J-Roc sane: You know what I'm Sane?
