I Miss Fri Night SCIFI
GateFans Noob
I read an article today on the old Scifiwire site (what is with this company and their rebranding names?) about a pilot for this show that CBS never picked up. And it got me to thinking about the money that the SciFi executives have burned on SGU and how much they will continue to burn, since we can assume that they’re not going to pull the rest of the episodes - the check has been cashed, after all.

For me, there were several extremely creepy moments in this pilot. I don’t know if my love of zombies has me overly biased, but I was completely drawn in! I don’t know why something like this can’t get picked up on a network that is supposed to be focused on science fiction and fantasy. Especially when the Saturday night line-up is usually a mash-up of science fiction and horror.
This is the second show that I’ve seen in as many days that would seem like a perfect fit – the first being, Arc, which Overmind started an earlier thread on. Instead of a 22 episode order, I don’t get why they can’t go the “British” route and stick with anywhere from 6-12 episodes. You keep the budget low and force the storyline to stay tight. Give me at least 5 more episodes of this!!
The zombie cop’s storyline is absolutely fucking brilliant!!!!
