Michael Bay - TMNT remake WTF??

Just read this today. Ok fine if he wants to do a remake of the franchise that's fine but he now wants to make the turtles to tell a story a different way saying they are now from outer space

He's going to ruin a lot of of people and including my childhood memories of the show.

Man, if they made a proper TMNT movie I think I'd still enjoy it now. If they gave half they money Bay has to play with to a decent director, imagine what they could do.

IIRC, the Ooze that made the Turtles in the comics was actually Extra-terestrial in nature, so outer space shouldn't be too much of a stretch.
As for Bay like explosions and such, I dunno, Turtles does sorta lend itself to bangs and such, so it may be a good fit actually.
