I don't know if this is fact or not, but I distinctly remember someone (back then) saying how much friction there was "on set" between JR and KM because of Sevens increasing importance to the show. Can't say I blame KM, after all, she was the first female ST captain in a series and got upstage by the "Kes replacement" on a regular basis.

Having said that, I really enjoyed the scenes they have togeather on the show, in fact, some of that "behind the scenes" friction probably added to the scenes!

I gotta say though, for as much eye candy as JR was at the time, I still woulda rather settled down with "Captain Audrey Hepburn"

At least Jerri could act, and appeared to have half a brain, and didn't bang everyone in sight ending up with some nasty fish VD. At least Jerri had personality, was ballsy and could deliver a decent performance, not just sit around as a one dimensional, teary teen or staring blankly at nothing. Granted Jerri was banging the Braga at the time, but at least he was getting more action from a hot bird as opposed to Mazz and his mutant rats.

Once she hit the show, most episodes featured her. It didn't hurt that she was playing snugglebunnies with the producer at the time.

That doesn't mean that I disliked the character or how she was portrayed by Jeri Ryan. Just a bit of backstory for the mixing bowl.

Don't take it personally Gatefan, I didn't mean it as an attack on your post.

I was merely pointing out the differences between JR and Chloe, and how that JR was initially a 'Lt Rack' type character for teens to get all hot over, she proved that she was more than just a hot bit of eye-candy...

I guess I should have worded my post more carefully, as it came across to heavy. My intentions were to show that Chloe is nothing more than slutty blue sushi with a nasty case of space clap. Eww.

I didn't think it was an attack at all, I was just confused about the connection! (hence the :confused:)

But yes, 7of9 was originally (imo) just eye candy that grew to be much more, unlike Chloe where the only thing going for her is her "transformation". If it takes a multi-part transformation into some alien to get one of your main cast to be interesting, you (should) know you have a bad character on your hands. Fred's transformation into Illyria was much better imo because it didn't take half a season to do (more like the side story of 1 ep) and Fred was a good character in the first place.

common obama situation...his "opponent" gets damaged by dirty info being illegally revealed. that happened to a couple of obama's primary opponents when he was running for the state senate as well.

This is the kind of thing that makes me think on occasion, I wish I could scrub out my brain and un-learn some things. I sooo didn't need to know this. I saw some pics where a guy ambushed her on the beach. It didn't looked planned. She was a real doll about it and gave him some good pictures. I'm sure Sharon Stone would have maced him, kicked him in the nuts and had him put in Sing Sing for 5 years.
