This guy sure loves his South African setting and robot tech. He should learn more science. Wondering if he's just a one hit wonder. Or just get on with the sequel to District 9.
It sorta left on a cliffhanger, didn't it? The aliens left and were going to come back to free all the other prawns and help the guy that turned into a prawn. I wanna see where that goes, how it'd play out, etc.Im betting on one hit wonder. How much story is left to tell for District 9? That whole South African backdrop is just a bit too outside of my experience for me to get into it. I liked District 9, one time. But that trailer just shows a run down shanty town with robot cops running around shooting stuff and looking badass. Im supposed to be entertained by this...how?

Well some conflicts are universal, and if you think about it, most people at their core are disappointingly the same throughout the world for the most part. He just needs some schooling or some self-learning I think to create the social commentary better and entwine it with his sci-fi stories. I mean, if you're gonna rehash the sci-fi portions, then at least you have some space to put more effort into your philosophical angle, yeah?Okay, I can go with that...but this dude who made District 9 may not be able to tell that story, eh? He seems focused on the conflicts in South Africa, and lets face it...everybody can relate to that, right?
