From what I understand, she can't be desexed until she has weaned this lot, but after that.............
Snip Snip Snip.

Makes sense. They probably figure she will lose her motherly instincts if they neuter her first. Somehow, desexed cats still follow their gender behaviors. My boy cats still respond to the female cat upstairs (who frequently escapes and sits on the stairs flirting with Siete). He makes the weirdest sounds only when he sees her and not any other time. We sometimes encounter her when I take Siete out for his daily adventure, but she just hisses at him. :)

some other exotics:

"... a whole menagerie of “living room leopards” has been spawned, including the Bristol (domestic cat/margay), the Chausie (domestic cat/jungle cat), the Cheetoh (Bengal/ocicat), the Jungle-bob (Pixie-bob/jungle cat) and the Pantherette (Pixie-bob/Asian leopard cat)."

recently a cougar was spotted near my home town in maine:

even though "experts' claim there are no mountain lions in Maine - I know a number of people who saw one - including myself. they are very fast and very solitary. It's not like maine is heavily populated- it is heavily forested though.
