The identity of the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man has been both the subject of rumors and a closely guarded secret for months. But now Spidey's nemesis in the reboot has been accidentally revealed by an actor in the film.
Speaking in an interview with the Retro Radio podcast, actor C. Thomas Howell accidentally let slip that Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) will go up against the Lizard, a.k.a. Dr. Curt Connors, in the film. Here's what Howell said: "Sony wants us to be hush-hush right now. I play a relatively small role. I play a construction worker whose son is caught in the middle of a battle between the Lizard and Spider-Man on the Manhattan Bridge. Spider-Man helps me get my son back from this perilous situation."
damn!

Perhaps its best that they DO release spoilers!

Well, after the last Spiderman, I was done. With Spidey and Mary Jane hooked up in a soapy (and unnecessary) storyline, the focus of Spiderman has gone soap like so many other of our favorite things. That whole relationship took the focus away from the Spiderman feel of it. But they spens almost $500 MILLION on it! I think that after that, it needs to gain some ground before people will take it seriously again.

I kinda liked the first one.

I actually liked the first one. I liked the casting of McGuire, and of the portrayal of Mary Jane in the first movie. But the "reveal" in the second movie ruined it, as did the third. By SM3, they were officially a "couple" and thus a "break up" could be exploited. :puke:

Soapy, you say? Well, then, you're in for a treat. They're rebooting Spiderman, throwing him back to high school with more soapy teen angst hoping to get a hold of the Twilight crowd.

The younger actor just looks like a tool if you ask me. If they do turn it into a twilight film I will never watch any of the other sequels.

Anyway, I actually wanted to see carnage tbh...
