I wish I had known of this before. I probably could have contested for the win. :D
It's interesting to see those sentences though somehow I had to read most of them twice or even three times because my mind kept wandering off. :P

"Morgan ‘Bamboo’ Barnes, Star Pilot of the Galaxia (flagship of the Solar Brigade), accepted an hors d’oeuvre from the triangular-shaped platter offered to him from the Princess Qwillia—lavender-skinned she was and busty, with two of her four eyes what Barnes called ‘bedroom eyes’—and marveled at how on her planet, Chlamydia-5, these snacks were called ‘Hi-Dee-Hoes’ but on Earth they were simply called Ritz Crackers with Velveeta."

I love reading through these every year. The disturbing gifts of the contestants never seems to wane.

It was inspired by the sentence containing those famous opening words "It was a dark and stormy night..."

The full sentence is: "It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness."

People have taken the reins on this and run with them. I think it's great!

Now that I know the whole first line I can see why people started this. That line sucks. :D I think this is pretty funny though.
